I received this message in the morning (read at 7:30 AM before going to my morning Mandarin class). Hence the title of this post 🙂

When I came back to my home, I found something in my (physical) mailbox:

Coincidence? I THINK NOT!

I had been hacking on Specto since last night, so I finished up merging a bunch of patches, fixing some new bugs that popped along the way, cleaned the code, and added some modest features. All in all, I made my own birthday present, and I committed it to Specto’s SVN trunk (revision 110). I really wanted to do these fixes for a long time (months) but school kept me busy. I guess my birthday is the right time to be forgiven for my laziness!
My desktop was a mess:

Went to eat some lebanese food for dinner with mom and dad. I came back and some symbolic gift was waiting for me (candies and a “doudou” like the one I had when I was a kid), and floating balloons were attached to it. So I took the balloons and decorated my LCD screen 😉

I am now 1/5th of a century old. *shock, horror, gasp*
